Meet the Coach, Founder/Executive Director
Brandon Q. Johnson
A native of Brunswick, GA, Brandon “BayBay'' Johnson graduated from Glynn Academy in 2002. Brandon held a record for 8 consecutive years with the highest batting average in Glynn County history of .515 (which was set by Adam Wainwright, pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals). Brandon attended Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri, where he was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 2003 amateur draft during his freshman year of college. After playing 4 seasons with the White Sox, Brandon played for and trained with many other notable teams such as, the St. Louis Cardinals, Somerset Patriots, Gateway Grizzlies, and the River City Rascals. Today Brandon is a successful baseball coach and has trained some of Brunswick’s best ball players like, Glynn County Alumni, Bow Way, who in 2014 was the seventh round draft pick for the Anaheim Angels. The only 2 that have exceeded BayBays .515 batting average in Glynn County are two of his students, Brandon Sharpe, (Glynn Academy alumni), with a .520 in 2010, and who currently plays for Georgia Southern University and, Ryan Good, (Brunswick High alumni), and who in 2011 had a batting average of .534 and now plays for Armstrong University. Brandon attributes his discipline and work ethic to his baseball experiences over the years and hopes to teach these same values to your kids throughout the sport...
